Makeup concealer , also known as concealer , is designed to cover and correct facial imperfections. Applied after foundation, it has a light texture and provides illumination and perfection to the face.

To achieve the perfect makeup result, concealers help us improve the results and hide minor flaws. Concealer covers small scars, acne, or any blemishes we may have on our face. Concealers work by covering imperfections thanks to their formulation and the properties of the color they contain.

Types of correctors

When choosing the most suitable concealer , we must pay attention to its texture and color, as these are the two most important characteristics when choosing.

• According to its texture
  • Stick : This is ideal for younger people, and it's recommended to use a shade lighter than your skin tone. Apply a small amount of product to avoid highlighting expression lines.
  • Cream : It is suitable for deep imperfections and covering dark circles, as it has a dense texture.
  • Powder : due to its texture it is ideal for oily skin, however, it has very light coverage.
  • Liquid : This is the easiest to apply and helps cover blackheads. Because it's a liquid texture, it's not recommended for oily skin.
  • Mousse : They cover the area to be corrected very well and turn into powder when they come into contact with the skin. Their light texture makes application easy.

• According to its color
  • Green : helps cover redness and reddish blemishes that can be caused by scars or pimples.
  • White : This concealer is used as a highlighter and helps emphasize the features we want. It can be used to cover expression lines and add volume.
  • Orange : These are suitable for covering bluish marks caused by bruises or veins. They are also very useful for covering dark circles.
  • Blue : Used to cover yellowish or orange blemishes. The concealer must be applied correctly to avoid any concealer marks.
  • Yellow : helps us hide purple tones in the skin such as dark circles, bruises or marks with that color tone.
  • Brown : These are used to give depth to the contours of the face and are usually combined with highlighters.

How to use a concealer properly

Before starting the concealer application process, we must choose the right texture and color. We must cleanse our face to remove any remaining makeup or impurities.

• Once you have chosen the shade to apply, we will begin applying the product to the skin.
• If we apply concealer before foundation, we should not apply foundation to the corrected areas afterward.
• We will apply the concealer to the area to be corrected, regardless of the application method (brush, sponge or fingertips). It should be spread by gently tapping. This will also stimulate microcirculation and give the skin a "healthy-looking" effect.
• If we're going to correct pimples, we'll spread the product with a sponge, thus preventing the proliferation of bacteria from our hands.

Finally, we will set the product with a thin layer of translucent powder.
