Lemongrass is one of the natural aromatic herbs of India. It has a long history of use in traditional Indian medicine, particularly against fevers and infectious diseases.
Of tropical origin, lemongrass, also known as caña santa (in Cuba), zacate limón (in Mexico), molojillo criollo (in Venezuela), hierba limón (lemon grass) and hierba calentura (calentura grass) in other Spanish-speaking countries, grows spontaneously in many areas of Asia, Africa and America, although it is generally cultivated for medicinal and cosmetic use. The leaves of this plant, which measure between 60 and 120 centimetres in height, are elongated like ribbons, give off a pleasant aroma, rarely flower and take on a reddish colour when dry.
Lemongrass Essential Oil has a light, fresh lemon scent with earthy undertones. It is stimulating, relaxing, calming and balancing, and is an essential oil that helps combat situations of high sense of responsibility or when one has a feeling of being overburdened.
