With "Meliora" a mare was paid homage, who was the mother of the famous stallion Tartar, who in turn fathered Herod. Meliora is one of the greats in the impressive ancestral gallery of English thoroughbred horses. The fragrance shows quite clear top notes followed by fine notes, which come from raspberries and blackcurrants, apparently bathed in sweet notes. The heart note contains a fresh rose. Ylang-Ylang adds sweet hints and the lily covers the heart with a slightly watery veil. The base is solid and feeds the previous fragrance festival with woods, vanilla, and musk. "Meliora" presents itself as a mood enhancer, as a fragrance with a cheerful mind, and we have to think of the cheerfully trotting "Meliora" on a paddock.
